About your therapist:
I'm Sharrell Johnson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from New Orleans, Louisiana. After surviving Hurricane Katrina in 2005, I learned that despite losing all my material possessions, I still had the inner willpower to make something of my life. Determined to break the negative patterns within my family, I pursued my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma in 2014.
Throughout my career, I have guided individuals in overcoming challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. In 2018, I earned my clinical license and established Invest NU Therapy, a virtual practice dedicated to helping people conquer past difficulties and improve their mental well-being. I truly understand the struggle of balancing mental health with family responsibilities. My personal journey through therapy was life-changing, teaching me valuable techniques like Cognitive Restructuring, which helped me manage my anxiety. Now, I aim to empower others as they work toward a healthier lifestyle.
